Role Title: VP of Employee Engagement & Internal Communications

Summary of the role:

 

Join us as the Vice President of Employee Engagement & Internal Communications, a pivotal role based in either London or Dublin. Your mission? Connect employees with the right information, keeping them engaged and inspired.

  1. Design and implement innovative employee engagement initiatives to foster a sense of belonging and pride within the workforce.
  2. Lead strategic internal and executive communications, utilising technology and data to craft targeted, compelling strategies.

  5. Collaborate across teams to amplify our brand mission and create engaging experiences for our workforce.

As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement in communication and engagement strategies.
  • Develop and execute strategies to recognise and reward employee achievements and contributions.
  • Collaborate with HR to design and implement employee development and training programs that align with business goals and promote continuous learning.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to ensure a supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees.
  • Organise team-building activities, social events, and volunteer opportunities to strengthen employee morale and camaraderie.
  • Establish channels for two-way communication between leadership and employees to encourage transparency, trust, and open dialogue.
  • Monitor and analyse employee engagement metrics to track progress and adjust strategies as needed to improve overall engagement levels.
  • Drive strategic alignment of the workforce to company’s key focus areas, goals
  • Drive digital culture, embed values & the better way code to enhance higher value focus
  • Drive employer branding by projecting EXL as an employer of choice for digital talent across social and traditional media
  • Prepare strategic communication plan for initiatives/programs.
  • Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision
  • Develop and author a variety of internal and executive communications
  • Deliver communications tailored to different internal audiences in such a way that the message can be communicated most effectively to specific stakeholder groups.
  • Organize global leadership briefings, townhalls, VP All, Leadership offsite
  • Leverage communication channels such as intranet, emails, social platform and newsletters to employees informed, engaged and motivated
  • Create communication campaign on organizational focus areas, themes
  • Maintain the editorial calendar (blogs, newsletters etc), research and develop quotes from/for people, write stories, organize video shoots
  • Use technology and data to expand reach and influence of communication, make it targeted
  • Working closely with leaders and industry/domain experts for the purpose of designing and developing compelling communications
  • Working closely with Social media platforms, Publications, Industry bodies

 

Qualifications and experience we consider to be essential for the role:

  • 10-12 years of experience with communications or marketing team with a corporate
  • Preferable experience in driving communication/culture in a data and AI led organization
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing employee engagement initiatives in a large-scale organisation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience leveraging technology platforms for employee engagement purposes, such as social intranets, collaboration tools, and mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of best practices in employee engagement, including industry trends and emerging strategies.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for sustaining employee engagement efforts.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise competing demands effectively.
  • Awareness of cultural sensitivities and diversity considerations when designing and implementing employee engagement programs.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Graduate or post-graduate in communications
  • Strong executive communications experience: Write and tailor content for specific audiences that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning and stakeholder needs.
  • Organized and creative: With news constantly changing, adapt and change directions in an instant. Comfortable working at a face pace and are able to meet deadlines.
